A domain .name technically offers the same opportunities as a .com, .net or .org, and provides the same services (Internet addresses, e-mail addresses, etc.).
The domain registration is done at two levels, with the structure:
Name.Lastname.name or LastName.secondlastname.name, or any nickname you like.
Rules for registering a .name domain:
No requirements.
Reserved for individuals.
There is no limit on the number of registered domain names.
Number of characters: maximum 63 without the domain extension.
Characters accepted: [a - z] [0 - 9], and [-]. However, the [-] can neither be the first nor the last character of the domain name.
It is used to identify individuals, not organizations: as long as you want, it can be your personal identification. |
